About This Quiz

Does a picture of Bob Marley or Genghis Khan automatically bring a certain locale to mind? Know which countries are home to historic sites like the city of Petra or Angkor Wat, or monuments like the Eiffel Tower or the statue of Christ the Redeemer? Know which countries are famous for producing huge quantities of coffee, or diamonds -- or poutine? If you know the answers to all of these questions, you might have what it takes to ace this quiz!

The world is a big place. Not only is it home to billions of people, but it also contains around 200 countries, each with its own culture and highlights. No matter how much you love to travel, however, it's unlikely you'll ever get to explore all of these nations, and many people will never make it outside of their own borders. Because we can't absorb the full flavor of each of these countries, we often learn only small snippets, which are often limited to each nation's most recognized features.

This could be famous people, historic or unique places, tourist attractions and landmarks, places we've seen in the movies, or even things like exports and clothing. Over time, these highlights become so closely associated with specific countries that they can often be seen as symbols of the countries themselves.

Curious how many of these items you can match to a country using only a single photo? Take our quiz to find out!
