About This Quiz

Do you know the difference between an Apache and a Black Hawk, or an Abrams tank and a Humvee? Can you tell an F-22 from a Fighting Falcon, or a HIMARS from a Dragon Runner? If you consider yourself an expert on military equipment, take our quiz to see if you can recognize these machines from a single image!

And you thought choosing a car was tough! Military vehicles face challenges most civilians never dream of, which means vehicles used in combat must be specially designed to handle the job. These machines not only transport people, equipment and supplies, but also play a role in defense, attacks and reconnaissance missions, as well as building and repairing roads and fortifications out on the battlefield.

Of course, not just any machine will do; these combat vehicles are armored to protect troops and equipment from everything from ambushes to landmines, gunfire to grenades. They must be strong enough to withstand heavy fire, yet nimble enough to cruise through land, sea and in the air with ease. On top of all of that. they must be armed for battle, equipped with guns, rocket launchers and other weapons designed for attack.
