85% of people can't name these '70s and '80s TV shows. Can you?
by Jacqueline Samaroo

In the 70s and 80s there was a success for TV shows that looked back in time (“House on the Prairie” and “The Waltons”) as well as those that had a futuristic influence. From aliens like Alf and Mork (of “Mork and Mindy”) it seemed that TV shows needed an outsider perspective to be able to question the mores of the time. And the shows reflected more of life’s diversity, there were divorced women (“One Day at a Time”) Hispanic policemen (“CHiPs) and Asian characters (Kung Fu). Plus, TV shows where African Americans had the leads such as “Sanford and Sons,” “The Jeffersons”, and “Good Times”. Do you recall this era of TV? What were your favorite shows? See if you can identify them with just one image as your clue. If you were a latch-key kid, or are currently watching reruns, you’ll do well on this quiz. Take it now.

Of course, you can’t forget the classics during the 70s and 80s like the “Mary Tyler Moore Show” or the “Bob Newhart Show” that ran for years. Then there was "M*A*S*H" with the theme song, "Suicide Is Painless". The song was co-written by then 14-year-old Mike, son of the movie’s director, Robert Altman. There are so many more wonderful shows and interesting tidbits to learn along the way. You’re bound to recognize them the moment you see the images.
